Part-Time College Admissions Counselor
We are currently seeking a part-time college admissions counselor to work with students. A college admissions counselor guides students in grades 9-12 with all aspects of the college preparation, search, and application processes. This position provides the opportunity to counsel students, manage individual projects, and work as part of an energetic and creative team.
Qualification
You must be organized, detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the natural inclination to think creatively and work both independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate possesses the following:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advance degree preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in undergraduate counselling.
- Experience in college counselling at a selective high school may also be considered.
- Prior involvement in working with international students is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills.
- Discretion and dedication to the confidentiality of high school students and families.
- Confidence, resourcefulness, accountability, and a high degree of integrity and ethics.
This position requires flexibility as part-time counselors often work weekends and evenings to advise students. Applicants must be available for weekly team meetings (remote participation).
